Focus on Christ for Great Impact in Healthy Living

Texts: Exodus 23:25; Jeremiah 30:17; 3 John 2; Hebrews 12:2

Introduction

Beloved, our theme for this month is a divine instruction: focus on Christ. In a world full of distractions, fear, and health challenges, God is calling us back to the Source. Many people today are health-conscious, but not Christ-conscious. Yet, true and lasting health flows from a life centered on Christ.

Exodus 23:25 shows us a covenant: when we serve the Lord, He blesses and takes sickness away. This is not a suggestion—it is a promise. God is not only interested in your salvation; He is interested in your total well-being—spirit, soul, and body.

1. Christ is the Source of Life and Health

Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
He didn’t say He gives life—He is life.

Anything disconnected from Christ begins to deteriorate. Just like a branch cut off from a tree dries up, a life disconnected from Christ becomes vulnerable to weakness—spiritual and even physical.

Exodus 23:25 ties service to God with divine health. When you align with God, you come under His covering.

👉 Many want healing without commitment. But covenant benefits follow covenant relationships.

Illustration:
A phone disconnected from power will eventually die. It may still look fine for a while—but power is draining. Many believers look fine outwardly but are spiritually disconnected.

👉 Truth: Your connection to Christ determines your flow of life.

2. Your Focus Determines Your Outcome

Hebrews 12:2 says: “Looking unto Jesus…”

What you look at consistently shapes your reality.

  • Focus on sickness → fear increases

  • Focus on symptoms → anxiety grows

  • Focus on Christ → faith rises

Example: Peter (Matthew 14:30)
Peter walked on water until he shifted focus to the wind. The moment his focus changed, his stability changed.

👉 Many believers sink not because Christ failed—but because focus shifted.

Key Statement:
Distraction is a weapon of the enemy against your health and destiny.

3. God’s Will is Divine Health

Jeremiah 30:17: “I will restore health unto thee…”
3 John 2: “I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health…”

God is not confused about your health—He has declared His will clearly.

  • Healing is not occasional—it is intentional

  • Restoration means bringing you back to original strength

  • God doesn’t manage sickness—He removes it

👉 But notice: 3 John 2 links health to soul prosperity.

If your soul is troubled, your body cannot function at its best.

  • Stress affects the body

  • Fear weakens immunity

  • Bitterness poisons health

👉 Truth: A healthy spirit produces a healthy life.

4. Practical Ways to Focus on Christ

a. Word Intake (Daily)

The Word is medicine (Proverbs 4:20–22).
Feed on healing scriptures.

b. Prayer and Worship

God’s presence brings wholeness. You cannot stay in His presence and remain the same.

c. Speak the Word

Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Stop speaking sickness—start declaring health.

d. Discipline Your Life

  • Rest properly

  • Eat wisely

  • Avoid stress and toxic environments

👉 Spiritual focus must reflect in practical living.

5. Healthy Living Produces Great Impact (4–5 mins)

God wants you healthy not just for comfort—but for purpose.

  • You serve better when strong

  • You think clearly when healthy

  • You influence others when whole

A sick body limits impact. A healthy believer becomes a living testimony.

👉 The enemy attacks health because he fears your impact.

Conclusion

This month is a call to alignment. Fix your eyes on Christ.
Not on fear. Not on symptoms. Not on reports.

As you focus on Him:

  • Strength will rise

  • Health will manifest

  • Impact will increase

Final Declaration (Lead the Church):

“I fix my eyes on Christ!
He is my life and my strength.
Sickness has no place in me.
My body is whole, my mind is sound, my spirit is alive.
I walk in divine health and I make great impact in Jesus’ name!
