 THE MYSTERY OF MARRIAGE

There is a major problem in this world today is called "divorce".  We have many hooligans in our world because of broken marriages.  Most of armed robbers and kidnappers are from broken homes. One of the ways to solve this menace is the reason for this write up. 

No matter the condition, divorce is a taboo in the sight of God. Malachi 2;16 “And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit.  And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife (husband) of his youth. For the LORD, God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away, for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts, therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously”.

Marriage is a mystery that originates from God. It takes understanding the mind of God for instituting the union of man and wife to make it works.  His mind is revealed in His word the Bible. Entering to marriage without foreknowledge of this institution leads to confusion and frustration.

The purpose for this teaching is to see the intent of God taking the woman out of the man as cure to marital confusion.

In Genesis 2:18-24, “And the LORD God said,  it is not good that the man should  be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. 

And the LORD caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs,  and closed up the flesh instead thereof .

 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 

And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh, she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a leave his father and his mother, and  shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh.”

The intent of God for making a woman is for mutual help, fellowship, means of love expression of love and procreation.  In order to achieve these purposes, God caused a deep sleep for man and took a rib from his side and made him a woman.  That is 1÷1 =  1/2  No man or woman is complete without each other. Remember man was created out of the dust while woman was made out of the man (finished product). God did not go back to the dust to make a woman for him. If He has done that it would have been 1 + 1 = 2. What God did to man was multiplying the man by making the woman out him so that a man can see his wife as part of him and the woman sees herself belonging to the man.  Wherever anything is made from that is where it belongs.  All living creatures came from the earth and water and that is where they belong.  Hence woman came from the man and that is where she belongs.

Therefore, the idea of 1 + 1 = 1 which is commonly said at a wedding ceremony is mathematically wrong and scripturally wrong. God never intended it so.  If it is 1 + 1 it can never make marriages work, because what is added can never be made whole, only what is multiplied that can be whole. God never plans families for addition but multiplication. If it 1+1 = 1,  God would have gone to the dust to make a woman. As long they as see themselves as 1+1 = 1 which is not possible, they will never see themselves as one, that is why there is confusion in marriage. God purpose of taking the rib out of the man to make for him a wife so that they should see themselves belonging to each other as man and oxygen can only be separated by death. In Genesis 2:24  “ Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother cleaves unto his wife; the two shall be one flesh.  So, would be couple it should rather be told that God through this marriage is doing the work of multiplication, which is 1 x 1 = 1.  This means what came out of man through removal of his rib by multiplication is restored to him as a woman to become one flesh. They are no longer going to be two but one flesh”. 

It is expected of the man to carry his wife in his heart everywhere he goes, likewise his wife see her husband as one she belongs.  No one can do without each other. They are one and they see themselves as one. 

Please my dear readers, treat your spouse with respect and love. You are made for each other. Be united to confront the common enemies of our souls, which are the devil and his cohorts. Stand in the authority of Christ you have and bind every power of darkness against your marriage. You shall rule over him.
